Welcome to The Family Tree of Dusk to Dawn, a beautiful farm-inspired wedding venue in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Situated on the family farm, Warmbad, this exquisite venue overlooks a dam and rolling fields. The exquisite mountain backdrop create a natural, romantic ambience. The Family Tree offers uninhibited beauty and charm in aged Wild Fig trees, breathtaking sunsets and indigenous sweet thorn trees.
The farm-style wedding barn features a tall wooden roof structure with high ceilings, rustic elegance and great attention to detail. We offer intimate and comfortable weddings with indoor reception seating for up to 200 guests.

Our Story
The idea of the Family Tree came to life in 2016 when Johann and Gudrun’s eldest daughter, Janka got engaged. This life-event coincided with the decision to sell the piggery on the farm and as both Janka and her younger sister, Imke have always dreamt of their wedding day on the family farm, Johann identified a unique business opportunity! And so the family venture started…
The name of the venue was inspired by the ancient Wild Fig Tree that has graced the Farmyard with its bountiful shade and perfect climbing branches for generations. The giant Wild Fig at Dusk to Dawn is of course an offspring of this original tree. The tree symbolises the start of a new family tree with every wedding celebrated at this special venue.
Soon everyone became involved from the bride to the in-laws, the farm workers, neighbours and local chefs! Everyone wanted to become a part of the Family Tree! This completed our vision of creating a unique function venue on the family farm, creating many an opportunity for locals to display their talents and services.

The Venue
The venue can comfortably seat 200 guests and comprises a large 315m2 reception area including a slightly elevated stage. A comfortable lounge area with fireplace perfects a cosy ambience on cold winter nights. Direct access to the restroom facilities is available ensuring that your guests will not miss a second of the proceedings!
For the convenience of parents with young children, the venue offers an exciting kids room where children will be seated, served & entertained at an extra cost. This area is adjacent to the female restroom allowing easy access for mothers.
The large 95m2 veranda boasts exquisite views leading down to the grass field & dam via a large stairway that resembles that of the original farmhouse. The veranda offers access to the bar via a beautiful wooden deck.
Ample parking is available on-site for your convenience.
The Ceremony
The Forest of Vows
The Forest of Vows is our beautiful, nostalgic forest chapel situated amongst the serenity of towering eucalyptus trees.
A large door opens up to the aisle, which is lined by wooden benches leading up to the altar. The calm and peaceful atmosphere of the forest washes over you as you enter. What could be better than saying your ‘I do’s’ in such a romantic and captivating space.

Positioned alongside The Family Tree main hall, the Waterberry Vista Venue offers the ideal space for gatherings or a dedicated area for children during events held at the main venue. With its breathtaking views of the dam and rolling hills, this charming space promises a serene backdrop for any occasion.
The Waterberry Vista Venue is more than just a beautiful vista; it’s a practical addition to the Family Tree Venue. Complete with its own ablutions, braai facilities, and a storage/kitchen room, it serves as a versatile and self-contained hub for smaller functions. Waterberry Vista further forms the central hub for guests using the camping facilities at Family Tree as it provides essential amenities while ensuring campers have a comfortable and scenic base to explore the natural surroundings.

Bridal Suite & Grooms Cabin
The free-standing cottages at the Dusk to Dawn Farm Guesthouse can be booked for the Bride, Groom and the Bridal Party to get ready in.
Oxpecker’s Hide
Oxpecker’s Hide with its authentic and masculine Nguni theme is the perfect setting for the men to have to get ready and rid of any pre-wedding jitters.
Bald Ibis Roost
Bald Ibis Roost with its soft touch and duck-egg blue finishes is the ideal backdrop for the bride and her girls and offers beautiful views over the farm to calm the nerves.
